- Should start with a “Preambular Phrase”, and end in a comma
Operative clauses
- Purpose: Write a set of solutions to the topic at hand
- Serve as the “What, How, Where, and When” of the resolution, as each operative can take action on the issue
- Clauses should start with an “Operative Phrase”, and end in a semicolon..
Activity: Delegates should get into groups and practice writing a resolution on an easy topic, such as School Uniforms, summer school, or something else relatable. Leaders should circulate to help delegates write a correct header and strong clauses. End with each group presenting their “resolution” to the class.
